Hwy. 89 and only one hour northwest of Reno, NV via Hwy. 395, then west on Hwy 70 to
Graeagle. It is also within 10 minutes of Portola, CA (with its wonderful Portola Railroad Museum and beautiful Lake Davis) and within 20 minutes to the county seat of Quincy (Buck’s Lake, fairgrounds and airport).
Come out and play! The Graeagle area is meant for you to come out and play. Graeagle,gateway to the pristine Lakes Basin Recreation Area, is adjacent to the extraordinary Mohawk
Valley and only miles from the huge and stunning Sierra Valley. The Feather River flows through
the area, with its famous fly-fishing and rafting opportunities. There are several great local golf
museum, hike or mountain bike on the parks trails, or even take a backpack trip where lakes
abound, eagles soar and an abundance of wildflowers await. Gold pan in nearby streams where sourdoughs for generations have sought out the illustrious and precious yellow metal.
